“Everyone has the right to live in a great place. More importantly, everyone has the right to contribute to making the place where they already live great.” – Fred Kent
We host monthly gathering events designed to engage residents, businesses and other stakeholders living, working and playing in the Upper Peninsula.
Each month the location and theme of the event will rotate to provide a variety of experiences. All events are posted on our Facebook Events Page and our Calendar of Events on our Website.
These free events are open to the public and directed to community stakeholders who are interested in seeing the Upper Peninsula grow responsibly. The events provide opportunities to meet your neighbors, hear speakers provide (theme related) project updates, and offer your ideas through engaging activities and surveys. Join us!
If you live or work in the study area please share the effort with your neighbors and encourage them to join in to help their community grow responsibly. It takes a village, the more the merrier.
Not everyone has access to the internet, so please help share events and updates the old fashioned way too!
We love our volunteers!
To express your interest in volunteering for the Upper Peninsula Initiative or to receive more information on how you can get involved, please contact us. We would love to hear from you.
Are you a champion of our sustainability cause and willing to be part of its success by contributing resources to the Upper Peninsula Initiative?
Know that your donation will help encourage positive change in our community and receive great public relations recognition and lots of other benefits in return! Join us!
Each of the 8 Strategy Groups will encounter points of progress where further public input from the community will be sought after beyond our monthly gathering events. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for updates and announcements on future public meetings related to the Upper Peninsula Initiative you can attend as your schedule allows.
